And I write sorta like this…. atleast while feeling self-conscious about my first post.

It recently occurred to me that, after many years of coding, I’m no longer embarrassed by my flash projects. For the longest time my excuse was that my coding was messy and unorthodox. I also seem to have a habit of having to re-invent math I was suppose to have learned in 6th grade. The only real difference now is that I finally seem to have wrestled my lack of proper coding techniques into a system that feels natural and almost always gets the job done.

I really adore coding, and sort of feel like half the fun is knowing that I’m not doing it the right way. Sometimes it’s more fun to ignore the rules of thumb by pretending you haven’t any thumbs to go by. If any of this rings a bell, dear readers, then I’m justified in deciding to start a blog. This space will become replete with hacks and work-arounds, triumphs, failures, pleas for help, rants (it’s a blog, after all), arbitrary science links, and probably a pinch of plagiarism. If best practices, OOP, and how to play well with others is what you seek – I’m afraid those aren’t my forte.
