Flex 3 beta 2
Looks like August 7th will be the 2nd beta release of Flex 3 (m3 – Feature Complete).
Got my Flex eSeminar email from Adobe and read the following:
Flex 3 Beta Sneak Peek
Tuesday, August 7
11:00 A. M. PDT
If you’re familiar with Flex and looking to find out more about the features in the upcoming Flex 3 release, attend this session. We’ll go over improvements to the compiler, new components in Flex 3, refactoring, performance improvements, integration with Adobe Flash CS3, the new profiler, and more.
It seems reasonable to assume that eseminar will coincide with the next beta appearing on labs. Pretty sweet. I plan on attending the eseminar, so say hi if you see me in the list.
Also, for anyone that hasn’t peeped at the RoadMap, it can be found at http://flexwiki.adobe.com/confluence/display/ADOBE/Flex+3+Planning
That is all. Get back to what you’re suppose to be working on.

UPDATE:
I’m sure most of you know this already, but Ted Patrick announced that the next beta is slated for October and the final will be shipping early 2008.
I felt obligated to post this update, as this post shows up high in the list for “Flex 3 beta 2″ searches. Given the title, go figure.

We definitely hope to have a beta 2 sometime around there but the e-seminars are not coordinated with releases so I wouldn’t recommend taking that date to mean anything. To be very honest we’re in the middle of moving dates around by a few days, so we don’t even know internally the exact date for beta 2

Thanks for clearing this up. At least going out on a limb and making presumptuous declarations has the saving grace of getting an Adobe update/clarification.
